Architecture
Creating spaces which responds to users' minds and bodies as they occupy it is the most significant duty of a designer. Architecture school teaches how to interpret historical, cultural, and environmental contexts – but the most interesting concept to manifest in a space is the human mind. Spatial memory and circulation can guide design as much as any other parti; one must learn from neuroscience and biopsychology and apply these findings to spaces in order to generate meaningful experiences.
Hospitality
A second passion of Alvaro is hospitality – throughout his college education, he participated in multiple projects at the Statler School of Hotel Administration. The hotel program emphasizes the importance of integrating operations with user experience in order to make a space work for all users, guests and hotel workers alike. Alvaro intends on bridging hospitality concepts with other architectural programs to create memorable experiences for those occupying a space.
